Trail Stewardship has always been a core value dear to our DPMR hearts – and the relentless winters of 2017 and 2019 have proven to be especially taxing on the trails we cherish. Join us for some upcoming trail work days – we promise, as always, it’ll be GOOD, DIRTY FUN!

Our first DPMR 2019 Trail Work Day is coming up on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Join our Trail Stewardship Coordinator Betsy Nye and our friend from the Land Trust, Kevin Starr, as we give our local trails some love after this harsh winter!

Our friends at the Tahoe Mountain Milers and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association have a trail work day scheduled for June 15, 2019, from 9am-4pm: June 15, 2019 – register here Our friends Chaz, Elke, and many other volunteers at the Western States Trail Stewardship have been insanely busy clearing hundreds of trees from the Western States Trail (YOU ALL ROCK!!)

June 21, 2019 – Robinson Flat Campout and Trail Work
July 6 and 7, Western States Trail Stewardship will be working in Granite Chief Wilderness. They will camp overnight Saturday at Lyon’s Ridge and do some rock armor on several creek crossings. You may work either day and run the other, come for one day, or work both and run after work. Dinner and water provided each day. Join the party!
