We are excited to offer you the opportunity to borrow a pair of Atlas Run Snowshoes for free, one of the numerous benefits of your DPMR membership. Thank you to Alpenglow Sports in Tahoe City for the generous donation that makes this program possible.

How To Rent DPMR Snowshoes
We want to make sure that as many members as possible are able to try out the snowshoes and to maintain them in good conditions. For that reason:
1) We limit the rental of snowshoes to one week (can possibly be extended if no one else is requesting them).
2) We ask that you watch this video from Atlas on how to use these snowshoes.
3) While we are thrilled to have our members use them for free, you are responsible for the cost of damage/loss of the snowshoes while you are borrowing them. The snow shoes are the Atlas Run model, which retail for $250.
4) Snowshoes will be inspected before and after use. A couple tips on caring for the snowshoes during your borrowing period: (a) Avoid using snowshoes on pavement, dirt trails, or rocks. (b) Ensure adequate distance between yourself and others to avoid stepping on and bending snowshoe frames. (c) Ensure front webbing and heel straps are snug, and the loose end of the heel strap is secured when using. (d) If using poles, please avoid puncturing snowshoe decking.
