Donner Party Mountain Runners is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization powered entirely by the energy, heart, and dedication of our volunteer working board. We don’t just run trails—we build community, protect our mountain playground, and support every runner on their journey. Now, we’re looking for passionate community leaders to help guide our mission into the future! Are you positive, patient, and driven to make a lasting impact? We’re seeking inspiring trail lovers who can bring their energy to:
- Monthly Board Meetings: Guide our vision during evening meetings (held virtual/in-person on the 2nd Thursday of each month).
- Our Flagship Event: Play a key role in organizing and executing our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Point Mariah Trail Race (first weekend of August).
- Community Support: Show up for our runners at ~70% of our annual events and iconic aid stations (including the Racing Gnome, Pub Runs, and aid stations for Canyons, Broken Arrow, and TRT).
Lead From the Front (Coordinator Roles) Not ready for a full board commitment, but still want to make a powerful difference? We are also filling high-impact leadership positions:
- Trail Stewardship Leaders: Champion our trail maintenance initiatives and keep our local routes wild and safe.
- Social Media Storyteller: Capture the excitement, inspire our members, and share our community’s stories.
- Volunteer (Hero) Program Lead: Recruit, energize, and celebrate the amazing volunteers who make every race possible.
If you love these trails and want to empower the runners who call them home, we want to hear from you! Reach out to bruna@donnerpartymountainrunners.com to get involved.
