When the pandemic hit in Spring 2020 … and it kept going into the summer months … and races were falling off the calendar on a weekly basis, the DPMR board rallied to pull together a series of online video chats and webinars. The aim was to keep us connected and motivated, celebrate accomplishments, and to fill the time while we “waited it out.” But the series became more than that. It opened our eyes to a new way to connect with more of our members, particularly those outside of the Truckee and North Tahoe area, and dig deep into interesting stories and informative, practical topics.
With races and group runs making a return in 2021 (and hopefully remaining the norm), our webinars went on summer vacation while we hit the trails, ran races, and took on new, badass challenges. The webinars aren’t going anywhere — they will remain a great option in our quiver of DPMR events — but for now we thought it’d be helpful to remind everyone that they can be viewed anytime on our website and often make a great re-watch instead of the next Netflix movie this coming weekend.
