I love to run, I love to read… I love to read about running! Plus so many RRRs, it make me feel like a pirrrate which is even better!
In the next months, I’ll be sharing some short reviews of books that I’ve enjoyed. I’ll also share some books that may not have resonated with me as much but that you may still be interested in hearing about. Let’s start with the running book I finished most recently: Bravey from Alexi Pappas.
I love to discuss books too so share your thoughts in comments (about this book, other books you’d like to see featured, or if you’d like to share your own reviews).

Aude’s Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Media: Audio (read by the author)
I had heard Alexi on podcasts before and knew a little bit about her story (for example the For The Long Run one is great). She’s had more podcasts towards the beginning of the year for her book launch. Reading more about her life through her eloquent voice that manages to bring in humor on really heavy topics has only increased my admiration for this incredible athlete and artist.
The book touches upon a lot of really important topics that could only be talked about more, especially in the (elite) athlete community: mental health, depression, life choices, body image, family relationships, education of children. This resonates even more through the incredible narration and the emotion of personal experience. The strength and courage to openly talk about these topics is also worth highlighting, especially when it hits close to home).
That makes it a book I’d highly recommend for anyone, runner or not!
