Winter is looming. For most of us, the running season is coming to a close. I have been finding myself spending a lot of time thinking about the past season and wondering what next year should bring. The change in seasons and the end of the year also promote such contemplation. In this spirit, I really enjoyed the Finding Mastery podcast interviews with Steven Kotler, particularly episode 17, which is the first interview. Kotler is an author that explores the neurobiology of flow. His story of discovering and promoting flow in his life and others is fascinating and inspiring. Throughout this season, I kept having a sense that I had found resonance in life and kept entering into flow more readily than I have ever remembered. And once you get a taste of that, you don’t want it to go away… This interview gave me some concrete and exciting ideas to implement in my career and life in general. I highly suggest you listen to this podcast while on an easy run, as I did, and let your endorphins and the blood pumping through your body help it really sink in.
