Enjoy extraordinary entertainment at two exceptional settings this September. First, imagine your toes in the sand, a fantastic bottle of wine nearby, and first-class entertainment before you… all while basking in a perfect Lake Tahoe sunset with your friends and family. You’re not dreaming, you’re experiencing the enchantment of The World Concert with award-winning musicians, and aerial silk dances at the beautiful Sand Harbor Outdoor Amphitheater overlooking the crystal blue waters of Lake Tahoe.
The World Concert features the Latin seven-piece band Boca Mundial starring Grammy award-winning vocalist Alexa Morales, known for her mix of jazzy sweetness and Latin brightness with energetic salsa, cha cha to lush ballads. Opening the concert is world-renowned violinist Scarlet Rivera with award-winning world flutist Ann Licater, Latin duo of Lucas Arizu and Darcy Kathleen, aerial silk dance with Tahoe Flow Arts, Neo Folk World Music with HuDost and performance painting with Susie Alexander. We proudly welcome back to the stage Jessica Fichot and her intoxicating multilingual fusion of French chanson, 1940s Shanghai jazz, gypsy swing and folk. Trails & Vistas is delighted to closeout the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Showcase Series on September 8th.
Described as incredibly creative and inspiring, the Trails & Vistas Art Hikes at Sierra Club’s Historic Clair Tappaan Lodge on Donner Summit features installation art, performance art, dance and live music along 3 mile nature trail. On September 8th and 9th take the family to see over 20 artists and performers present the expected and the unexpected; taking participants on a journey that will resonate deeply in their soul. Audience members, led by an experienced guide, hike in small groups pausing at ten art sites, each set against the striking backdrop of towering pines and cascading mountains. Blending art with nature, the hike has a profound effect on participants who become integral members of this unique experience. For artist line-up and tickets visit www.TrailsAndVistas.org
