On Saturday, October 24, about 60 friends gathered in beautiful Squaw Valley to celebrate our DPMR members, donors, and volunteers. Several took advantage of the killer party location to get in a run in Squaw Valley before the event, and a few unafraid souls ran all the way to the party from Kings Beach (Chris Cloyd) and Norden (Diana Schlaff and Julia Millon).

Jon Borden graciously opened up his home in Painted Rock for the event. Delicious sandwiches, salads, and cookies were catered by Full Belly Deli, and a generous assortment of beer, wine, and mimosas were enjoyed by many.
Avian Borden drew names for the incredible raffle prizes (organized by Volunteer Coordinator Lesley Dellamonica).

The top prize, one-week accommodations for two in Chamonix, France, donated by our favorite club member from Hong Kong, Clare Price, was awarded to Diana Schlaff (who is already planning her trip).

There were gift certificates for spa, massage, and chiropractic treatments, courtesy of the Tahoe Wellness Center in Kings Beach. One Market Restaurant in San Francisco donated a gift certificate. Alpenglow Sports donated many fantastic prizes, including hydration vests, trucker hats, and lots of running gear; and most party-goers did not leave empty-handed.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed over the past year, and we are very excited to have such a strong local running community. We hope to see you all at our next event!
