What brought you to Truckee, and where were you living before?

What led you to join the DPMR?
A few years ago I thought running in Birkenstocks was a decent day on the trail and doughnut holes appropriate energy food. I love running because it feels natural, but I knew nothing specific and still feel like I have a lot to learn. I chatted with Helen Pelster when she had the idea of DPMR in her mind. She was training for her first 100mi. run and I remember just feeling so amazed by her dedication, knowledge and focus. I really wanted to learn more, trade up the Birkenstocks and bag the doughnuts. Helen was my gateway drug!
What has been your favorite DPMR experience so far?
Favorite local trail?
Anywhere around Donner Summit. It is a very special place for me and I just love so many areas up there. I previously lived on the Summit for 5 years. Running from Sugarbowl to Squaw this year with ankle deep snow was absolutely amazing!
